Kira Koop is a Canadian artist and student based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is currently in the process of completing a Masters of Library and Information Sciences through San Jose State University in California. In her artistic practice, Koop works in multiple media, with emphasis on photography, painting, and video, and often use self-portraiture and narratives to portray personas, facts, and fictions. Currently, she is exploring a new set of questions around value, the self, and the other. This is her first foray into combining Library Sciences theory with images.
